Giving With Purpose

We are excited to announce our philanthropic initiative, 'Giving with Purpose'. 

Through this program, we will donate 10% of all sales to causes that are important to us and that make a positive impact in our local and global communities. We hope this initiative will help us to make a difference in the lives of those most in need. 

We know that you have choices about where to spend your hard earned money.  So here's our bottom line. Like all businesses we need to be profitable so we can continue doing what we love to do. But at Island Thyme Soap Company that's not enough. We need to make a difference. 

It's all automated and seamless when you purchase and you don't need to share any private information with the cause we donate to. The donation is paid by Island Thyme Soap Company LLC.

World Central Kitchen

The videos of destruction and rescue operations in Turkey and Syria are heart-wrenching. The @WCKitchen team arrived on Feb 8 with food for search and rescue workers, medics and all the brave first responders working 12 hours nonstop to help as many people after earthquake.

World Central Kitchen (WCK) uses the power of food to nourish communities and strengthen economies in times of crisis and beyond. When disaster strikes, WCK’s Chef Relief Team mobilizes to the frontlines with the urgency of now to start cooking and provide meals to people in need. Deploying their model of quick action, leveraging local resources, and adapting in real time, they are able to respond to multiple disasters at once — often on opposite ends of the world. By partnering with organizations on the ground and activating a network of food trucks or emergency kitchens, WCK provides freshly made, nutritious meals to survivors of disasters quickly and effectively. 

Our favorite Chef, humanitarian and founder of World Chef Kitchen José Andrés been on the ground since Feb 24 with Chefs For Ukraine to provide hot nourishing meals to Ukrainian refugees at a pedestrian border crossing in southern Poland. WCK then expanded his operations to eight border crossings across the country. Additionally, they are supporting local restaurants preparing meals in eight Ukrainian cities including in Odessa, Lviv, and Kyiv. WCK Chef's For Ukraine teams are now also on the ground in Romania, Moldova, and Hungary. The UN estimates over 1.3 million Ukrainians have fled their homes since the invasion began. Most of them are women and children who travel for days without food.

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute 

We chose the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute to support its' lifesaving mission of a world without pediatric cancer in memory of Francesca "Beans" Kaczynski, who died at nine months old of a rare brain cancer called ATRT or atypical teratoid rhabdoid tumor.

Team Rubicon 

Team Rubicon is a veteran-led humanitarian organization that serves global communities before, during, and after disasters and crises. Founded in 2010 with the expressed goal of quickly responding to large-scale disasters, Team Rubicon has deployed thousands of volunteers across the United States and world to provide relief to communities in need.

Feeding America and Feeding America Tampa Bay 

The Feeding America network is the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization.  When families can't afford enough to eat, they are often can't meet other basic needs as well — including housing, employment, healthcare, and more. Feeding America helps provide meals to people in need through a network of food banks and helps address root causes of hunger.

Not only do they feed people on the ground, they also raise awareness of the issue across the country. Feeding America educates the public about the impact of hunger through investment in marketing and communications, advocacy and cutting-edge research.
