You Shop. We Give. Again | Island Thyme Soap Company

We received such postive feedback on our recent "You Shop, We Give" campaign to assist with Hurricane Dorian relief, we decided to do it again!

Now when you shop between now and Thanksgiving, we'll give10% of that purchase to Metropolitan Ministries or World Central Kitchen at no extra cost to you to help them stock food pantries or help give hope to those who had to evacuate due to the California wildfires.

Metmin provides services designed to help homeless and at-risk children and families, no matter how serious their needs. Whether they need to get off the streets at night, or they’re seeking education so they can get a job that will support their family, they are there to help.  They provide around 200k nights of safe shelter for children and their parents annually. They serve almost 2 million meals to hungry neighbors.

And they need 16k turkeys for Thanksgiving!

Just like with Hurricane Dorian Relief, Chef Andres and the WCK Chef Relief Team were some of the first on the ground in CA where they've already served 50k meals in response to four wildfires. In Northern California, the Kincade Fire forced 180,000 people to evacuate, burning more than 77,000 acres. In Southern California, the Getty Fire and Easy Fire each forced evacuations and threatened historic sites in and around Los Angeles. Then the Maria Fire broke out late Halloween night, forcing evacuations in Ventura County, just north of Los Angeles. Just 36 hours after the Kincade Fire sparked, the team prepared some hot chili and fresh fruit to the firefighters working 24-hour shifts battling the wildfire. They expanded their efforts to serving both first responders and evacuees staying in shelters run by the Red Cross and local community organizations throughout Sonoma County. On Nov 8 provided dinner to over 3k people in Paradise on the Camp Fire anniversary.

Both these organizations do such good work. We are thankful for them and can't think of better people we'd like to share and care with this Thanksgiving than the heroes behind these efforts.

How about you?
