With the western US and Canada suffering from record high temperatures, we thought it was a great time to revisit this topic we previously blogged about. 

Not only should you drink a glass of water first thing in the morning as part of your skin and hair care regimen, not drinking enough water during hot weather may cause dehydration.  And dehydration can have long term effects on your health. In fact, according to the National Kidney Foundation severe dehydration can lead to kidney damage.

Cells are the basic unit of structure and function of life. A balance between fluids and electrolytes is necessary if cells are to survive and function normally.  The adult body is composed of about 60% water. What comes out from sweating must go back in for optimal cell health.
