Scent Spotlight - Sandalwood and Rose

Scent Spotlight - Sandalwood and Rose | Island Thyme Soap Company

An exotic and oh so feminine combination.

When we think of this fragrance three words come to mind:

Bloom. Essence. Vintage.

The classic pink rose carries with it the connotation of grace and elegance. The scent is rich, complex and well-balanced, steeped in nostalgia. It's also sweet and romantic. Sandalwood, one of the oldest incense materials, is an earthy feminine fragrance, linked to an deep spiritual level of relaxation.

When Sandalwood and Rose are combined, it's almost as if the earthy notes form an emotional attachment to the floral notes. It's delicate yet comforting - like an antique book full of poems. It's a happy discovery.

The complexity of the rose with its top notes of citrus and berries, middle notes of lily, fern, and marigold are beautifully presented on a woody base note. We had to search to find just perfect sandalwood, one that served as a gentle creamy-sweet and slightly spicy backdrop that enables the rose notes to bloom and soar.

Island Thyme Soap Company's Sandalwood and Rose is simply poetry in a soap, and is the perfect scent blend for the cooler weather.
